Evaluating Strengths and Weaknesses

I have served under the leadership of several Food Pantry leaders during my four years of volunteering at Hope Helps Food Pantry – currently under the leadership of our Food Pantry Coordinator, Christina Parson. Internally and externally, our Food Pantry Coordinator is responsible for the ongoing operations of the pantry, and Parson’s leadership style shares many of the characteristics found in the 7C’s social change model, but most clearly in her Consciousness of Self and her trust in us. Parson trusts our abilities to create an efficient environment that maximizes our ability to serve our community.

In addition, Parson’s commitment to the pantry is excellent. That dedication and high work ethic not only ensure the pantry’s ongoing operations, but inspire volunteers and staff by her passion: coupled with her congurent understanding, honesty, and consistent and caring interactions makes her a leader whose well-respected, and approachable. In individual values, Parson is most highly capable. However, growth is possible in group values. Particularly in the regard of how controversy is handled with civility. She is fair but might benefit from a broader perspective on issues to help make the best final decision. A crucial strategy, in my opinion, for civil resolution. Nonetheless, her skills in collaboration and her ability to foster a common purpose are excellent.  Recently, the distribution of 150 Thanksgiving turkeys on Thanksgiving day is evidence to great planning and trust in us as her core competencies under her leadership.

Christina Parson is a model citizen. She gives back to the Oviedo community, leading us in fulfilling our mission with her ethical and dedicated leadership. During my time at the Hope Helps Food Pantry, I have learned very powerful lessons. That leadership, while often different among us, Christina Parson incooperates leadership successfully to achieve a common goal, of helping as many people in need as possible.

In the end, Our servant leadership is undeniably organic and successful to the end of meeting our communities’ needs. And, through the 7C’s, its successful architectural use within our leadership, has greatly expanded our ability to deliver support to our community in its hour of need. In my time at the Hope Helps Food Pantry, has been made significantly richer. By Christina Parson’s leadership, and by the collective ethos of a very dedicated team. That serves as a model for a service and change that impacts our guests.
