Where I am headed? My Career Compass Reflection

Using the results of your UCF Focus 2 Career Assessment, briefly summarize the “best fit occupations” results of the combined assessment

It has been a blessing to be exposed to this UCF resource. For my best fit occupations I took into account work interest, values, personality, and my established skills. It has been enlightening to note that after looking at these results I am going in the right direction with my career choices. The top option was an Athletes Business Manager as it handles finances and business. Then going through the rest of my results it is humorous to share that they are managerial, but they lie in different places like financial services and hotel/recreation.

Reflect on the combined results of your assessments as they relate to your current career interest.

To begin this reflection I would like to begin with reporting my leisure interests. Many things are all about work and getting into the work force but I believe it important to know what is a calming piece for me. This part of the part of the assessment is huge for because I find myself reaching in all different ways that I can often find myself unhappy because I am not doing what I love.  My Leisure Interest Code is SIC meaning my top three areas are: Sharing The Helpers, Inquiring The Thinkers, and Correct The Organizers. To reflect I would like to explain some on each of these areas starting with Sharing The Helpers. When it comes to Sharing The Helpers I can know that I enjoy helping and advising people and I tend to be concerned about a persons welfare. Which I do agree with, on an everyday basis I do recognize myself caring about how people feel and how they can better help their learning and personal development. One big shining factor in this is my mentorship with the US Dream Academy where I mentor students that live in Incarcerated effected areas. Next is Inquiring The Thinkers, this means that I prefer to observe learn and investigate. I also like to be involved in activities that have to do with thinking and search for facts to solve problems. One part of this part I did not agree with it that I would prefer to work with ideas rather than with people which is very wrong as I am very talkative and love to work with people. Last portion of my top three is Correct The Organizers. In this I would like to be involved in things that have set routines and enjoy working in jobs that have clerical or numerical abilities. Now this is very similar to myself in my opinion as I do want to grow up to be a Lawyer in Business Ethics or in a crazy world a PR Team for a sports team.
