Hi, My name is Nolan Hartley.

Ever since I was a young kid I’ve been interested in going into a field of medicine. I was really fascinated with biology and health sciences and I knew that I wanted to go into a field that focused on serving others. In high school, I joined explorer scouts and got to experience many different fields of medicine, and physical therapy stood out to me the most. I was drawn to physical therapy because of its focus on building up clients both physically and emotionally through positive, trusting relationships. I decided to major in Kinesiology at the University of Central Florida and I am minoring in psychology as well in order to better understand the mental and emotional side of recovery. I originally minored in music, and while this changed, the goal behind the decision still remains…to be able to personalize the physical therapy routine. For anyone to really be motivated to recover and to stay active beyond the recovery, it is important to help them find what they enjoy most and bring that in to the process. For me, that is music, but I switched to psychology so that I could better understand all kinds of hobbies and interests to help people make their recovery personal to them.
